Plant Bass LDN – London’s most exciting Vegan event

Taking place on the first Thursday of every month, Plant Bass LDN will feature kitchen takeovers from the likes of The Green Grill, Club Mexicana, Jakes Vegan Steaks, Olive Sundae, ITIS LDN, V Burger and Little Leaf Food. Running as resident dessert vendor throughout the entire series will be Camden legends Cupcakes and Shhht!

What sets Plant Bass LDN apart from other vegan events happening around the capital is the combination of top end vegan food, live music, talks and presentations and DJs, staged in Camden’s coolest venue, Lockside Camden.

With a fully vegan beer, wine and cocktail menu specially curated for the events, and supported by Camden Town Brewery, whose entire range is completely vegan, visitors can be sure that every aspect of their night out, whether they’re vegan or not, has been carefully designed for maximum enjoyment.

You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy vegan

For the launch event on the 1st of February, Plant Bass LDN is excited to announce that emerging vegan burger brand The Green Grill will be taking over the kitchen with a bespoke menu for the event. The Green Grill was co-founded by Joel Elster and Robbie Rees, with the aim of providing great tasting, healthy vegan junk food. Nothing is deep-fried and their distinctive burger buns are coloured using only 100% natural ingredients.

Their catchy slogan #brandingbunsnotanimals reflects both Joel and Robbie’s personal vegan journeys. Joel, a seasoned hospitality consultant, got turned onto the vegan lifestyle after working for a well-known high-end steak house. Eventually, the smell of cooking meat forced him to re-evaluate not only the food he ate, but also worked with. Robbie, a semi-professional footballer, ran a successful meat food preparation business, but after being reminded of how precious life is, he went about educating himself and committed to not profiting from the suffering of animals. He gave away his share in the company and dedicated himself to sharing the benefits of a plant-based diet.
